Funeral services for Romeo Dittmer, 91, Durant, were held May 30, 1989 at the Lacock Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. Peter Fickels officiating. Burial was in the Davenport Memorial park cemetery.

Mr. Dittmer died May 23 at the Wilton Nursing Home.

The son of Henry and Katie Harder Dittmer, he was born Nov. 12, 1897 in Stockton. He married Victoria Bunge Feb. 28, 1934 in Moline, Ill. He had been a board member of the Stockton Elevator and was a retired farmer.

Mr. Dittmer is survived by his wife, a stepson, Earl Tyler, Long Beach, Calif.; 2 sons, Harvey Dittmer, LeClaire and Brian Dittmer, Davenport; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Dolores) Hagge, Durant; 12 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren and a sister, Nelda Dittmer, Durant. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one sister and one brother.
