Memorial services for Francis Lindle, 67, will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran church, West Liberty, at 2 p.m. Friday. The body has been donated to the Mayo Clinic Foundation, Rochester, Minn.

Mr. Lindle died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, May 21.

A navy veteran of world War II, he married Beverly Barkalow at Atalissa in 1943. He was a self-employed welder and later worked at Proctor and Gamble, Iowa City. The couple moved to Bemidji, Minn., where they operated a resort for 4 years. He later worked in a nursing care center at Black Duck, Minn.

He was a member of the Lutheran church, a former member of the West Liberty fire department and a member of the Mansell-Phillips American Legion post.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Jeri Staudt, Milan and JoAnn Royston, Hills; a son, Craig, Bettendorf; 4 grandchildren and a brother, Donald, Muscatine.
