(Muscatine) Anderson Chatman, a prominent Muscatine county farmer, who had made his home in that county since 1868, passed away at his residence in Conesville Thursday morning at 5 o'clock. Mr. Chatman was born in Ohio, August 21, 1843. After coming to Iowa he resided on a farm in Seventy-Six township, Muscatine county, until a year ago when he removed to Conesville to make his home. He is survived by six children: Elmer and Wilbur Chatman and Alice, the wife of Frank Minder reside near Muscatine, the other three, Irene, the wife of Earl Idle, Eva, the wife of A. S. Abbott and Miss Mary at home, reside in that community. Mrs. Chatman preceded her husband in death twenty-two years ago. The funeral services were held Saturday at the Methodist Episcopal church. The interment was made in the Conesville cemetery.
