Funeral services for Adam H. Simon, 79, retired Cedar county farmer, were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church, West Liberty, Feb. 15, 1989 with the Rev. John Morrissey officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery. Mr. Simon died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Feb. 13.

The son of Joseph and Mary Doll Simon, he was born at Riverside May 4, 1907. He married Doris Herring at Riverside Feb. 16, 1931. He was a member of St. Joseph church. The couple farmed in Iowa township.

He is survived by 2 sons, John and Joseph, West Liberty; 5 daughters, Betty Smith, Jean Anne Feldman, Patti Koenig and Mary Sue Cline, West Liberty and Connie Black, Atalissa; 30 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Thomann, Riverside. He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and a great-grandchild.
