Funeral services for Ronald Hines, 48, West Liberty, were held July 19 at the Snider Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery, with military honors.

Mr. Hines died July 16 at his home from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The son of Lester and Esther Bubb Hines, he was born March 25, 1938 in West Liberty. He was a graduate of West Liberty high school and served in both the U.S. army and navy.

Mr. Hines is survived by 2 brothers, Lester, Batavia, Ill. and Harvey, Moline, Ill.; 2 sisters, Raydene Good, West Liberty and Philiss Herslow, Trinty, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
