Everett 'Cab' Woodrow Dow Allison Jr., 69, of Muscatine, died on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 211 Walnut Street. The Reverend Cathi H. Bencken will officiate. A time of food and fellowship will follow the service in the Parish Hall. Inurnment will take place in the Trinity Episcopal Church Columbarium on Sunday, November 4, 2012, during the 10 a.m. service.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Muscatine Center for Social Action (MCSA). Everett was born on February 1, 1943, in Des Moines, the son of Everett W. and Opal Wright Allison. His first marriage was to Jeanette Wells on July 21, 1962 and they later divorced. He married Carol Ann Stoeber on September 3, 1977, in Ames.
He was a member of the US Navy Reserves. He retired from CDS in Wilton as a computer programmer.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Moose Lodge No. 388. He enjoyed music, art, and fishing. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his strong faith in God.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Carol Allison of Muscatine; one son, Chad Allison and wife, Tiffany, of Waukee; two daughters, Jeorjette Twogood and husband, Derek, of Des Moines, and Wendy Thompson of Muscatine; ten grandchildren, Brooklyn, BreAnn, Belle, Cory, Caleb, and Chyler Allison, Tory Thompson, and Jordan, Rosie, and Derek Twogood; two great-grandchildren; Colton and Samuel Gookin; and three sisters, Norma Moslander of Hobart, Indiana, Patricia Cocke, of Warsaw, Missouri, and Judy Allison of Ames.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Helen Baker.
