Last rites for Mrs. Clifton (Evelyn) Meyers, 73, were held at the Cedar Valley United Methodist church, Muscatine county, Jan. 18, with the Rev Joe Lee officiating. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery.

Mrs. Meyers died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Jan. 15.

The daughter of George and Laura Mae Inghram Askam, she was born in Muscatine county Feb. 5, 1912. She was married to Clifton E. Meyers in Muscatine Feb. 14, 1934. A life resident of the Cedar Valley community, she was a member of the Cedar Valley United Methodist church, the United Methodist Women and the Cedar Valley Community club.

She is survived by her husband; 2 sons, Virgil and George, West Liberty; 5 grandchildren, a brother, George Inghram Askam, Anamosa and a sister, Mrs. Donald (Ina) Erwin, West Liberty.
