The death of Saundra Trimble, 26 and A. Keith Schiele, 46, both of West Liberty, has been ruled as a murder and suicide. The bodies of the couple were found March 4 at the trailer home in West Liberty which Trimble lived. Both had been shot once with a small caliber shotgun.

Notes written by Schiele, found at his farm home near West Liberty, stated what was to be done with his livestock, farm and children in case of death. The condition of the home indicated that struggle had taken place before the deaths.

Private services for A. Keith Schiele, 46, in the Downey cemetery.

The son of Lysle and Dorothy Anderson Schiele, he was born at Iowa City Nov. 24, 1938 and graduated from the West Branch high school in 1957. He had farmed in the Downey area.

He is survived by a son, Lance; 2 daughters, Jill and Jamie; his mother, Dorothy, West Branch; a brother, Carl, Arvada, Colo. and a sister, Mrs. Dennis (Nancy) Emanuel, Ottumwa.
