Funeral services for Mrs. Henry (Emma) Boynes, 96, a former resident of Tipton, were held at First Church United, West Liberty, Dec. 6 with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery, West Liberty.
Pallbearers were Vaughn Phillips, Gary Pritchard, Clinton Meyers, Wilfred Thompson, Donald Lamp and Mike Kelly. Mrs. Dorothy Mays was organist.
Mrs. Boynes died at the Simpson Memorial home, West Liberty, Dec. 3.
The daughter of Fred and Mary De Mean Jensen, she was born at West Liberty Dec. 15, 1887. She married Henry Boynes Jan. 30, 1907. The couple lived in Tipton for a time before returning to West Liberty. Mrs. Boynes was a member of First Church United and Moose Lodge No. 730.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Mary Jarvin and Mrs. Warren, (Wilma) Dutton, both of West Liberty; a brother, Carl Jensen, Sun City, Ariz.; 2 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 4 brothers and a grandson.
