Virginia Bellis Brink “Mac”, a lifelong Iowa resident, passed away on December 30, 2024. She was born on February 23, 1928 in Castana, Iowa, and was the daughter of Adam and Inez “Albertson” Bellis.

A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, January 6, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Clif Cockburn, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Virginia’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. A visitation will be 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel in Onawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Virginia married Willis Brink on October 30, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa. Together they farmed for nearly a decade before relocating to Onawa in 1956. The couple enjoyed gardening, card games, and dancing together.

A dedicated member of the First Christian Church of Onawa, Virginia touched many lives through her faith and community involvement. She was also a member of the David McNeill American Legion Auxiliary Post #129, Onawa, Iowa for many years.

Surviving Virginia are her children, Christine Griffith of Pierce, Nebraska and David (Gloria) Brink of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Ross, Willis (Reina) Griffith, Heather (Jon) Rennerfeldt, and Abby (Brent) Kieselhorst; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Hunter Rennerfeldt, Derek and Halle Ross, Mercy and Enid Griffith, and Blake and Grant Kieselhorst; step-grandchildren, Michael (Mary) Griffith and Melissa (Victor) Lopez; step-great-grandchildren, Gabrielle (Jonathan) Headley and Jamie Liddy; one step-great-great-granddaughter, Juliette Headley; and many other relatives and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Brink; her parents, Adam and Inez “Albertson” Bellis; eight siblings; and two sons-in-law, Leon Ross and Charles Griffith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Monona County Veteran’s Memorial Museum.
