Last Will and Testament of Peter Gilles

Know all men by these presents:

That I Peter Gilles of the county of Mitchell state of Iowa being of legal age and sound mind so hereby make and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking any and all prior wills by me made;

First, I direct that all my lawful debts the expense of my last sickness and burial and of the administration of my estate be first paid from the property left to me at the time of my death; in connection with this clause I direct the administrator hereafter named to arrange and pay for perpetual care of the family burial lot in New Haven Iowa.

Second; I give devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter Mrs. Hazel Spurbeck my piano now in my home at New Haven Iowa.

Third; All the rest residue and remainder of my property real personal or mixed wherever situated I give devise and bequeath to my beloved seven children as follows;

Mrs. Flora Robbins Charles City Iowa

Fourth; As my son Harold Gilles of Pierre South Dakota has preceded me in death I give devise and bequeath to his two children, one hundred dollars each, Jane and Sue Ann.

I hereby nominate and appoint my son Leonard Gilles of Osage Iowa to be the executor of this my last will and testament and I ask that he shall not be required to furnish bond in any amount for the faithful performance of his duties.

We the undersigned hereby certify that we saw Peter Gilles known to us sign the foregoing and declare it to be his last will and testament and we at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other do hereby attach our signatures as witnesses to that act and declaration.
