C.A. ADAMS DEAD.
State Center Veterinarian Passes Away After Long Illness.
C.A. Adams, a veterinarian of State Center for twenty-four years, died at 9:30 Sunday night at his home, of heart disease. Dr. Adams had been ill four and a half years and had been bedfast since Oct. 15.
Mr. Adams was born in Banbridge, Ohio, Oct. 21, 1860. He was graduated from the Kansas City Veterinary College and came to Iowa twenty-eight years ago, settling at State Center in the fall of 1895.
He was united in marriage June 23, 1893, with Miss Nellie George, of Eldora. The widow and three children survive. The children are Theron, George and Imogene Adams, all at home. Four sisters and two brothers also survive in the persons of Sarah Adams, Mrs. Justus Harris and Mrs. C. MacBoyle, of Chicago; Mrs. H. Hauster, of Mendota, Ill; John Adams, of Sheldon, N.D., and O.F. Adams, of New York City.
The funeral will be held at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon from the home, in charge of Rev. Mr. Coe. Burial will be in Hillside.
