Beula B. McCurdy, 75, of Oskaloosa died Saturday, Aug. 31, in the Pleasant Park Estates.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Central United Methodist Church, the Rev. Howard Lord officiating. Interment: White Oak Cemetery. Visitation is open at the Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, with family present Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials: Central United Methodist Church, Hospice of Mahaska County or Mahaska County Hospital Foundation.
She was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Mahaska County to Fred R. and Clara DenBurger Gray. On Dec. 20, 1941, she married John A. McCurdy in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was a 1939 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Charity Circle of Kings Daughters, Pythian Sisters, Hospice Auxiliary and Mahaska County Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sisters: Gayle Gray of Oskaloosa and Lucille Solomon of Columbus City; and four brothers: Zane Gray of West Logan, W.V., Dale Gray of Ottumwa, Marvin Gray of Marshfield, Mo., and Ronald Gray of Rock Island, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: John; brother: Clifford Gray; and two sisters: Normalee Gray and Ina Massina (The Oskaloosa Herald, Sept. 3, 1996)
