Flora A. Roberts, 83, of Winterset, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
She was born in Promise City, Iowa on December 17, 1940, to Lee and Vesta (Crozier) Schmell. She graduated from Seymour High School in Seymour, Iowa in 1959. She was united in marriage to Craig Roberts in 1960 and they were blessed with three children, Russell, Brenda, and Bryan.
Flora was a homemaker. In her younger years, she enjoyed painting, drawing and singing. She enjoyed traveling until she was unable to and was involved in her church. Flora loved her family and her dog, Marly.
She is survived by her children, Russell (Vicki) Roberts of Winterset, Brenda Roberts of Winterset, and Bryan Roberts of Grimes; brother, Ernie Schmell of Numa; 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Gregory, Josh, Kati, Tessa, Jacob, Chris, and Curtis; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Craig.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, September 23, at New Bridge Church in Winterset with burial to follow in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to New Bridge Church, Winterset.
