I have information from PEASE researcher Richard Bart that my great-grandparents James L. PEASE and Sarah Elizabeth AUSTIN were married 24 December 1868 in Lucas County. I would like to verify that.

Can anyone tell me why, in the online database of Lucas County marriages, 1868 marriages listed run only from January to into July? Is there any information out there about a marriage book or a portion of one being lost or destroyed? Is there a possibility that a half year of marriages was bypassed in transcription. No explanation is noted with the database, so I'm wondering if anyone has an explanation of the missing half year. Thanks.
