In the history of Louisa County, Iowa (1912, S.J. Clarke Publishing, p. 108-109 there is a listing in the land records for a ZADOK CALHOUN.
Zadok was listed in 1840 for Land Entries in Township 75 North, Range 5 West, in sections 25, 26, and 36. Perhaps this will give you a starting clue on which to further your research on Junius' parentage.
