This community was greatly shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. Dan Graham, which occurred suddenly last evening at eight o'clock at the home of Rev. Geo. L. Thorpe. She had planned a surprise and donation party for Rev. and Mrs. Thorpe and shortly after she entered the home with the crowd of forty or fifty who had gathered there, she remarked that she was falling and fainted away and some caught her as she fell. She was placed in a chair and her wraps taken off and everything possible was done to revive her. She did not appear to get better so was moved into a lounge, where she breathed her last in a few minutes. The doctor, who had been called immediately pronounced her dead when he reached her side. Her death was due to heart trouble. Mrs. Graham had been complaining some that evening and had had several spells with her heart in the last month, but her condition was not considered such to cause alarm until the last sudden attack. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made known.
