Nellie L. Walker, beloved wife of C. N. Walker passes away at a late hour Thursday night at her home in Tama township. She was born in this county, July 14, 1876 and joined the Tamatown M. E. church when about sixteen years of age and remained a faithful member to the end. She was brought up in the country and was married to C. H. Walker, September 30, 1903. She leaves to mourn her death a kind husband, two twin daughters, Hazel and Hallie, aged seven years, her mother, four brothers and three sisters: C. B. Walker, G. W. Walker, J. B. Walker, A. B. Walker, Mrs. Rose Wischmeier, Mrs. Nettie VonOsdol and Mrs. Tinnie Sielermann. Mrs. Walker was held in high regard in a wide circle of friends and acquaintances there is general regret that she could not have spared to many years of useful activity. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, from the family home conducted by Rev. C. E. Petitt, with interment in Walker cemetery.
