Clipping from Copies of the Wapello Republic, Columbus Junction, IA of Nearly Forty Years Ago.

Died - Maj. J. H. Isett, of the 8th Iowa Cavalry, died at South Bend, Indiana, a few days since. He was absent from his regiment on sick leave, we believe, for a short time, and on his way home was taken sick and obliged to leave the train at the above named place, where he died. He was a citizen of Wapello, Louisa county, and is spoken of as a soldier of the very best ability.
