Bill,
Looking over my collection of information I find:
Harry W. SCHOONOVER (b.04 Oct 1881 at Prairieburg, Boulder twp., Linn County, Iowa; d. Feb 1927).It is unlikely this is your Harry, as he would have been only about 14 years old in 1895.
However, just to be thourough, I'll list here what I have collected.
He appears in the 1900 census of Boulder twp., Linn County, Iowa. Between 1915 and his death in 1927 he lived at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His occupation was carpenter. In 1927 his address was : 1001 Daniels Street in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Harry W. SCHOONOVER is the son of William Madison SCHOONOVER and Laura Ann STORY.
His grandfather is Andrew Jackson SCHOONOVER. His great grandfather is Henry SCHOONOVER. Andrew died in the service during the Civil War. Henry left Iowa for California. He died 24 Aug 1866 is is buried there. I have more information on Andrew and Henry.
It is also possible that the Henry (Harry) P. SCHOONOVER you seek is a grandchild of Henry that I do not have in by collection.
Regards,
John Ely
