Sexton, Iowa — Mrs. Martha Grubb, who had been confined to bed a long time, died last Thursday. She was in her 83rd year. Burial was in Indiana beside the grave of her husband, who died many years ago. She was the mother of Jesse, Grover, and Clarence Grubb, all of Sexton, and Grover and Clarence lived with her.******
Obituary says buried in Indiana. However, she is buried alongside Lossen Green Grubb in the Bacon Chapel Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby County, Missouri

obituary for George Silas Ratliff [father of Martha Ratliff Grubb]
March 8, 1842 ---- April 4, 1927George S. Ratliff, 87 years old, died at his home in Shelbina, Monday morning, after being sick only 5 days. Mr. Ratliff was born in Highland County, Virginia, but moved to Missouri and located in Shelby County 81 years ago. He served with the Confederate forces during the Civil War. Funeral and burial will be held Thurs. morning at 10 o'clock at Bacon Chapel. Mr. Ratliff is survived by six children, Jonas Ratliff of Iowa, Mrs. Carrie Shockley of Salina, Kansas, George and William Ratliff, Mrs. L. G. Grubbs, and Mrs. Nealie Hastings, all of this vicinity.

obituary for Elizabeth J. McAllister Ratliff [mother of Martha Ratliff Grubb]
May 4, 1839 --- March 16, 1919Mrs. Elizabeth J. Ratliff, wife of George S. Ratliff, died Sunday at ther home in the west part of town. Deceased was born in Bath Co., Virginia, May 4, 1839 and came to Shelby county, Missouri in 1882, where she has since resided. She was married October 30, 1860 to George S. Ratliff, and ten children were born to this union, of whom seven and their father survive; James (Jonas) and Mrs. Nealie Hastings of Farley, Iowa, George, Mrs. L. G. Grubb, William and David of Shelby county, Mrs. James Taylor of Salina, Kansas. She was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services were held at Bacon Chapel Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C.H. Werner and burial was in the cemetery there.
