Dale W. Hannover 79 of Owatonna Minnesota passed away peacefully on July 31, 2020.

Born on February 27, 1941 to Edna (Bruhn) Hannover and Rudy Hannover of Whittemore Iowa, Dale was raised in Whittemore on the family farm. He moved to Algona Iowa where his children were born. In the mid 70’s Dale re-located to northern California. He was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 3. He enjoyed his work as a blade operator for 37 years.

Dale was comical and loved his pets. He enjoyed dancing, collecting toy tractors, garage sales and his vehicle’s. He was also proud of his German heritage and Lutheran faith.

Dale is survived by his three children, Sheila Balsimo (Rob) Palm Springs California, Stacey Hannover (Lisa) of Owatonna Minnesota, and Sonja Knutson (Jeff) of Zimmerman Minnesota, seven Grandson’s: Danial (Nikki), Nick (Brian), Mitchell (Whitney), Phillip (Kara), Jack, Alec and Connor, five great grandchildren: Will, Olivia, Wyatt, Maddie and Levi, Three Siblings, Duane Hannover (Dianna) of Fenton, Iowa, Janice Ramus of Fenton and Inez Dacken (Allan) of Hartley, Iowa, brother-in-law Don Frideres of Algona, Iowa, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rudy and Edna, sister Mary Frideres, and brother-in-law Butch Ramus

A small private funeral service will be held at St. Lukes Lutheran, Fairville Iowa where Dale was confirmed. Interment at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, Fairville.
