In Response To: Jane Jennings (Lucas) NORTON STARRY (Joanne Wilken)

I do not know where Jane Lucas Norton Starry was buried, either. In 1920 she was in Round Lake Township, Sawyer County, Wisconsin with her son Willis Norton and his wife Margaret (Willis was her only living child by 1920). In 1940 Willis (cited as William) and Margaret are still there, but I cannot find either Willis or his wife in Wisconsin or anywhere else in the 1930 Census. However, there is a Jane Starry listed as an inmate at the County Home in Wayne Township, Jones County, Iowa in the 1930 Census. The age given (89) is a couple of years off from other reported birth dates (1910 Census says she was born in December of 1843) and this person is reported to have been born in Iowa. It also reports that she is widowed and that both parents were born in Indiana, which would be correct for Jane Lucas Norton Starry. Was there a designated cemetery for the burial of residents at the County Home or are there any records available on these residents?
