Top o' Abbey, Genealogy can be fun but also equally frustrating as we attempt to unravel its mysteries. I don't know your source for the Plowery nee name so don't know how accurate it may be. Leslie Leggett is enumerated as single, and a school teacher, living in another surnamed household in 1880 Eldora, Hardin co. But of more interest is the 1880 for Providence township, Hardin co. Also in another surnamed household is a 19 y/o Lillie Leggett, born in Wisconsin. Lillie is also a school teacher but enumerated as a widow. and parental nativities of Ct. & Ire. I believe this is your Lillian. Is her enumeration correct? Is she a widow? If so, did she re-marry her brother-in-law? You might want to look for the Hardin co. baptismal records for the 1885 census children Nellie & Bessie. Should have Lillians nee name. Sponsors names for the children may hold a clue as well. Dick
