MARTELLE - Robert L. Clark, 78, Martelle, died about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Goettsch funeral home with burial in Linn Grove cemetery. Rev. George Youtze, Martelle Methodist church, will officiate.

Casketbearers will be Floyd Thomas, Ray Martin, Everett Koppenhaver, Elmer James, Russell James and Ralph Willey.

Born Sept. 28, 1876, near Martelle, he was the son of David and Mary Boxwell Clark. He farmed near Martelle all his life. Mr. Clark never married.

Survivors include a brother, Ray L. Clark, Martelle, and several nieces and nephews.
