OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral services for John Alois Kostichek, 68, were held Monday, June 28 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart church with the Rev. Robert Swift officiating. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery. He died June 24 at Mercy hospital, Davenport.

He was born January 28, 1903, in Wyoming township, the son of John and Marie Yanda Kostichek. He was married to Marie Ruly at Oxford Junction March 30, 1940. He was a farmer and seed salesman.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Orville (Cathy) Barnhart, Davenport; Rita Mae and JoAnn and one son John, jr., all at home; two grandsons; one brother, James, Wyoming, and one sister, Mrs. George (Lillian) Lawrence, Oxford Junction.
