CENTER TOWNSHIP
Mrs. C. E. Rodgers

May 3-- The entire community was shocked when they learned of the sad news of the death of a good friend and neighbor William HUDGEL. He had been in poor health for quite awhile but had for some time been able to mingle in a part of the community affairs in which he had always been seen when his health was at its best. Little did we think that in so short a time we would hear of him as one of those gone on, waiting for his loved ones to join him in the Better Land, where there is no death or sorrow. But that is the way of life; here today and gone tomorrow. It seems sad that one who will be so sadly missed should be taken away at an age that we do not consider old. He was such a loving father and faithful husband, and best of all a good Christian. His life was a good example for his children and something they will never forget but they have nothing to regret, as they did all that loving hands can do. At the funeral services April 27th, a large crowd was present to pay their last respects to a man they had always held in high esteem. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their deep sorrow.
