William E. HIATT

William E. HIATT, 46, of Quincy, Mass., former Fairfield resident, died Tuesday, June 22, 1993, at his home.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the Boston Living Center and the Aids Action Committee. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday evening in Quincy.

HIATT was born March 1, 1947, in Fairfield, the son of Robert L. and Helen KOONTZ HIATT. He grew up in Fairfield, graduated from Fairfield High School in 1965 and attended Northeast Missouri State University at Kirksville from 1965 until 1968. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. He had been a resident of the Boston area since 1970 and was an assistant vice president of the Bank of Boston for 22 years before his disability retirement in 1991. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fairfield before moving to Boston.

Surviving are his father, Robert L. and stepmother Jean FIEDLER HIATT, a sister, Constance S. INMAN, all of Stanwood; a brother, Roger of Mesa, Ariz.; three stepbrothers, Kim FIEDLER of Buffalo, N. Y., Randy FEIDLER of Omaha, Neb., and Scott FIEDLER of Dallas, Texas. His mother preceded him in death.
