HIATT Rites At Church

Mrs. Robert HIATT, 53, rural route 4, died at 9:52 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been a patient the past week. She had been in failing health the past nine months.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Raymond Funeral Home to the church at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Robert HIATT was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Ross and Pearl GLASGOW KOONTZ, and was reared and educated in the Fairfield Community.

Her marriage to Robert HIATT took place Dec. 14, 1941, in Fairfield. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lionels and Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. HIATT is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Connie INMAN, Stanwood; two sons, Bill, Boston, mass., and Roger, a student at Ellsworth College at Iowa Falls; and two grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, John and Howard, both of Fairfield; and three sisters, Mrs. Ruth SALTS, Batavia; Mrs. Marjorie MANLEY and Mrs. Emma HARTMAN, both of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

CARD OF THANKS

We want to thank all of our relatives, friends, and neighbors for the wonderful acts of kindness given to our loved one during her long illness and passing. A very special thanks to her brothers and sisters and to Grandma and Grandpa for their visits and help. A special thanks also goes to Rev. Bartruff, Dr. Watson, Miss Thompson and Mrs. Hostetter for their kindness and gentleness over the past months; thanks goes to all of the nurses ont he medical floor at the hospital, the ladies who fixed the meal at the church and to many, many others-- everything was very deeply appreciated.
