Hi Jim Blandford (if this who reads this?) George W. Blandford who moved to Jasper County Iowa, was actually George Washington Blanford. The first "d" in the last name was dropped somewhere between the family moving between Mass and Indiana. The Obit for Mary Ellen Robson also has some typos. Mary Ellen was my Dad, Royal Dean Blanford's older sister. My grandparents were Charles Austin Blanford and Carrie Eldora (Slaughter) Blanford. I would also be curious to know who posted the following: "Hi,
I just posted on the Jasper County site an obit for my aunt, Mary Ellen Robson nee Blandford." The reason I ask this question is Mary Ellen's maiden name was Blanford, not Blandford. This may have been someone on Elmer Robson's siblings children, because any of the nieces and nephews of Mary Ellen from her sibling's children are either deceased, know her real maiden name or are not on the internet. There are actually only 5 living nieces and nephews of Mary Ellen's on the Blanford side of the family and we were all born with the last name of Blanford. 3 being my Dad children (my sister, my brother and me) The other 2 are my cousins from my Uncle Glenn, and they are both Blanfords as well! Thank you!
