WHALEN, WHELAN, NUGENT

I'm searching for the John WHALEN or WHALEN family. John married Elizabeth NUGENT about 1858. She was born about 1828 in Ireland. They lived in Montpelier Twp, Muscatine Co., Iowa in 1870 census. Known children are Richard, Mary, William, Thomas and John. This family was in Grinnel, Poweshiek county, Iowa in the early 1870's but appeared in the 1880 census in Hickory Grove Twp, Jasper Co., Iowa. Elisabeth was a sister to my great great grandfather, John NUGENT who lived in Scott County, Iowa and is buried in Blue Grass, Iowa.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
