I'm looking for info on my ancestors - George and Ellen (Barry) Leary and their families. Ellen's family moved from VA to Jasper Co., IA in 1865. Her father was James M. Barry and Mother was Bridget O'Connor. It is thought that George Leary came to Newton, Jasper Co. from New York sometime after 1870. He and Ellen Barry married in 1873 in Jasper and raised their children there. Their names were Minnie (b. 1874)married John C Hubbirt; William aka "Addie" (b. 1876); Elizabeth Margret (b. 1879 - died young); Catherine "Kit" Cecelia (b.1882 or 1883)married Mark E. Gants; George Patrick (b.1885); Max Clarence (b.1887); Ellen Bridget (b.1889); Michael (b.1891 d.1929) died in auto accident; Joseph Harvey (b.1892); Margaret I. (b.1898). According to iagenweb.org, George and Ellen's gravesites are found in the genealogical society's book and appear in the Palo Alto township cemetery section page 71. There have several of their children listed on page 77 (same section). My belief, based upon my records, is that they are buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery (as this was the church from which the kids were baptized). I live in KY and would love to have a photo record of their graves if there is anyone that would be willing to do so. I have Ellen's death recorded as June 1920 but have no info on George's death year. Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to help me.
