Interred in the Storm Lake Cemetery (Iowa) are :
1. Theresa Fredericka Tegeler, 1871-1945.
2. Louis Tegeler, 1898-1946.
3. Beulah Tegeler, 1922-1939.
4. Everard Tegeler (interred in a different plot)who died young and was disabled. These Tegelers came from Kansas into Iowa.
Theresa is Louis's and Everard's mother. Louis is Beulah's father. I would like to find the obituary on any of these three Tegelers and have been unable to find anything in the Storm Lake newspapers. Theresa's first husband, Louis, Sr. had been deceased for many years before she married Fred Langner. They subsequently divorced. I have not found any death or birth record in the official records of Storm Lake regarding these Tegelers.
On the 1925 Jasper County, Iowa census, Francis Green(e) Tegeler is living in the household with her sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Newton Morgart. Frances states she is widowed and her young son Virgil Newton Tegeler is 10 months of age.
On the 1925 Storm Lake, Buena Vista County, census Louis Tegeler is in the household with his mother, Theresa Pfeiffer Tegeler. Louis is divorced and his two-year-old daughter Beulah is living in the same household. Beulah's mother's name is very difficult to read, but appears to be either Rotramel, Rotheville or something similar.
Frances Tegeler married Clyde Earl Foster when Virgil Newton was about 18 months of age. Virgil "assumed" the Foster name.
In the 1970s, Frances returned with her son, Virgil Newton Tegeler/Foster to Storm Lake, as Virgil wanted to see the burial place of his father and Frances advised him where it was. Due to inclement weather, they were unable to locate the grave. I have researched many cemeteries in Storm Lake and am interested to know if there are any other Tegelers, interred in Buena Vista County. So far, I have found none. There is a possiblity that Virgil had a sister, whose name was Phyllis Tegeler.
I would like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of any of the people listed.
