It was very common for siblings of one family to marry siblings in a neighboring family. However, in our family, the story goes that James' first wife died on the wagon trail west and he met up with this "Indian" woman who cared for him and the children and so he married her (Aseneth). I think McGlemery is a strange name for an Indian woman.
