Dean L. Reynolds, 82, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities or QC Paws. Online condolences may be left at rungemortuary.com.
Dean was born Feb. 12, 1935, in Newton, Iowa, the beloved son of Charles E. and Emma R. Henning Reynolds. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was united in marriage to Emiko Takata on Jan. 29, 1960, in Japan; she preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 2001.
Dean retired from Rock Island Millwork after 45 years of service, where he was one of the top Anderson Window sales representatives in the country. He was a very loyal family man who enjoyed giving others his advice, whether they wanted it or not.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Jeff McKinney; adored grandsons, George and Marte, and three additional grandchildren; sister, Wilma Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Dean was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry; and 10 siblings.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at UnityPoint Hospice and Rosewood Care Center for their wonderful care shown to Dean. Your kindness will not be forgotten!
