Funeral services for Chester N. Sheets, 67, Maquoketa, well known as an antique dealer and a judge of antiques, were held at Maquoketa, Feb. 28. Burial was at Andrew.

Mr. Sheets died at the Mercy Medical center, Dubuque, Feb. 26.

A native of Andrew, he was well known in Cedar county as a judge of antiques and had been a judge at the Cedar county fair for more than 2 decades. He also assisted in lessons in antiques that were held in Tipton during the past several years.

A veteran of World war I, he was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by a brother, Willis, Marion.

A memorial fund has been established in Tipton to purchase books on antiques for the Tipton Public Library. Donations may be made at the library or by contacting Dorothy McCroskey, Joyce Hamiel or Earl Howe.
