KEYSTONE - John Yarolem, sr., 73, Monmouth, former Keystone resident, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, July1, at his home. Body was brought late Friday afternoon from the Carson funeral home at Maquoketa.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, from the Monmouth Methodist church. Rev. Philip Masters officiated. Burial was in the Monmouth cemetery.
Mr. Yarolem was born Feb. 8, 1881, near Monmouth to the late John and Barbara Yarolem. Oct. 3, 1906, he was married to Leaphy Etta Sinkey in Maquoketa.
Surviving are his widow; one son, John, Maquoketa; three daughters, Mrs. Cecile Becker, Oxford Junction; Mrs. Dorothea Petersen and Mrs. Lorraine Heneke, both of Monmouth; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Four brothers, Ed, Maquoketa; Mike, Wyoming; Will, Onslow, and Charles, Monmouth; and four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Streets, Mrs. Elsie Volkers, both of Monmouth; Mrs. Emma Streets, Clinton, and Mrs. Sylvia Trinka, Oxford Junction.
Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
