ROBERT HARRIS LANDED
The steamer Robert Harris, which towed wood to Dubuque during the season just brought to a close, was pulled out on the bank of the river at the foot of Ninth street Friday morning. The boat, which is the property of J. R. Johnson, will be given a thorough overhauling, during the winter months, so that it will be ready for work when the river opens up next spring.
Captain Kimbel, who did the work on Robert Harris, expects Saturday to pull his boat, the Eagle Point, out of the water and up onto the bank at Kimbel's island. This boat was out of commission during the greater part of the season just closed, having sunk a few miles up the river in April. She has been repaired and will be put in commission again next spring.
