Suicide at Iowa Falls.
Iowa Falls, Iowa, May 6.—Mrs. L. H. Baskerville committed suicide here yesterday afternoon by hanging. She was at the home of her father, R. F. McClern, when the deed was committed. She had returned the day previous from the asylum at Independence, where she was sent by the insane commissioners last fall for mental troubles. Her folks noticed but little improvement in her mental condition, and so kept a close watch of her, but eluding their watchfulness, she went to a chamber, tied the rope of her trunk to a door knob and threw the end over the door. Standing on a chair she placed the noose about her neck and then kicked the chair from beneath her. She was dead when found.
