Richard W. "Dick" Green, 80, of Iowa Falls passed away Saturday at the Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Linn's Funeral Chapel in Iowa Falls. A time of visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today.

Richard W. "Dick" Green, 80, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, Iowa. Memorial services for Dick Green will be 10:00 am Tuesday at the Linn's Funeral Chapel, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, February 15th also at the Linn's Funeral Chapel, Iowa Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o his wife: Marilyn Green, 1110 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126.
Richard Wayne Green was born May 14, 1929 at Eldora, Iowa, the son of Robert Arlington and Minnie [Krause] Green. He attended Eldora Grade Schools and graduated from the Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1947. Dick worked for Ralston Purina Mills before entering the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After the war he returned to work for Purina and then worked many years at Mike's for Men Clothing Store, Iowa Falls, and then many years for Reece Construction, Iowa Falls. Dick loved to fish and enjoyed anything outdoors. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Ann Roth on September 29, 1962, at Albert Lea, Minnesota. He enjoyed all kinds of baseball games from American Legion Baseball to even the Cubbies.
Dick Green is survived by his wife: Marilyn Green of Iowa Falls; two daughters: Julie M. Green of Iowa Falls, Malea M. Green of Waterloo, Iowa; a son: Robert W. [Jillian] Green of Waterloo; five grandchildren: C. J. Douglas, Peyton Green, Brittany Green, Ekaze Gordon, and Tyrell Gordon. He was preceded in death by his parents: Minnie and Robert Green; and three sisters: Hester Brightwell, Lorraine Wood, and Janet Van Hove.
