MRS. F. R. DALBEY
Mrs. F. R. Dalbey, who has been ill of diabetes for a year past, died at ten-thirty o'clock Wednesday forenoon of last week, at the home of her son Clyde Dalbey, at Ellsworth, being 67 years of age at the time of her death.
Roxanna S. Everett was born in Rumney [sic], West Virginia, April 2, 1853 and moved to Ohio with her mother in 1865 where she lived until about 1870 at which time she came to Hamilton County, Iowa, with her mother and late stepfather, Mr. Robert Knox, late of this city. She was one of this county's earliest pioneers. She was married to Frank R. Dalbey, November 19, 1872, to which unio four children were born, J. E. Dalbey and Earl F. Dalbey, of Jewell, and Mrs. H. H. Keesee and Clyde T. Dalbey of Ellsworth, who are left to mourn her death. Also a sister, Mrs. Wm. Anderson, of Jewell and two half-brothers, A. W. Knox, of Jewell and M. B. Knox, of Ohio, and sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive. Her husband preceded her in the Great Beyond three years ago.
Funeral services were held at two o'clock Friday afternoon at the Congregational church in Ellsworth and interment was made in the cemetery there. Simon Sogard, O. A. Cragwick, Bennett Granby, Peter Olson, Loren Olson and Harry Rude acted as pall bearers. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet.
