OBITUARY

Katharine Wilhelmine Eichenauer [sic] was born August 4th, 1835, at Breitenbach, Germany, and died February 5th, 1914, at Jewell, Iowa, at the aage of 78 years, 6 months, and 1 day.

In May, 1856, in company with her father she emigrated to America, locating at Peru, Illinois. Two years later she was married at that place to Mr. Andrew Beisheim, to which union eleven children were born. In 1882 she moved to the farm southwest of Jewell where she moved to Jewell where she lived until her death.

Mrs. Beisheim is survived by five children, the husband having died two years ago at Granville, Ill., where he lived with a daughter, and six children having also preceded her death. The surviving children are Chris Beisheim, Mrs. Kate Satre and Mrs. S. P. Larson, all of Jewell, Mrs. Matilda Pletch, of Granville, Ill., and Mrs. Emma Pletch, of McNab, Ill.

In early life Mrs. Beisheim united with the German Evangelical church and remained a faithful member of that church all her life.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, from the Bethesda Lutheran church, the pastor, Rev. Norstad, officiating. The body was laid at rest in Evergreen cemetery.

The Record unites with all in the community in expressing sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
