AUSTIN CHARLSON
Funeral services were held at St. Olaf's Lutheran church near Clarion Tuesday morning, Jan. 27, followed by a service in Randall at 2:30 p.m. with burial in the Randall cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews Donald Larson, Sherman Charlson, Earl Charlson, Erwin Ogland, Clifton Larson and Leonard Dueland.
Austin Charlson was born at Randall May 29, 1892, the son of Julia and Stone Charlson, and passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 27 days. He was baptized in the North St. Petri church near Randall. At the time of his death he was a member of St. Olaf church near Belmond.
May 25, 1921 he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Dueland at Huxley. Mr. and Mrs. Charlson lived on a farm near Randall until thirteen years ago when they moved to their present farm near Clarion.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife; one son, Alvin of Kanawha, and one daughter, Arlene. Mrs. Arthur Homervold of Belmond; three grandchildren, Anita Faye Homervold, Alan and Carrie Beth Charlson; four brothers, Bert of Ft. Dodge, George of Joice, Erick and Louis of Randall and one sister, Mrs. Oscar Larson, also of Randall. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Charlson was a devoted and loving husband and father and a kind neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
