DEATHS

ALFRED BRALAND

Alfred Braland, 82, formerly of Roland, Iowa, died Friday, December 20, 1974 at the North Grand Care Center, Ames, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 23 from the Bergen Lutheran Church, Roland. The Rev. Howard M. Lybeck was in charge.

Alfred was born May 13, 1892 near Radcliffe, Iowa. He farmed north of Roalnd until he retired.

He is survived by a brother, Amos Braland of Ames and two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Clara) Ryan of rural Radcliffe and Mrs. Amos (Alvina) Osmundson, Story City.

Mrs. Robert Eischen was organist during the service and accompanied Harris Twedt, Jr., as he sang, "How Great Thou Art" and "What A Friend we have in Jesus." Pallbearers were Deryl Luther, Richard Canon, Richard Ryan, Wm. Braland, David Braland and Allan Osmundson. Burial was at the Mamrelund Cemetery, Randall, Iowa.
