OBITUARY OF MRS. MORRIS HENDERSON

After a lingering illness Mrs. Morris Henderson passed into the long sleep at her home in Albert Lea, Minn., Thursday, Oct. 11th, 1935.

Mrs. Henderson's maiden name was Anna Serena Braland. She was the daughter of Andreas and Mattie (nee Mortvedt) Braland, and was born March 11, 1888, so at time of death she was 47 years and 7 months of age.

She was united in holy matrimony to Morris Henderson Feb. 23, 1910. To this union 7 children were born, all living.

She was born near Radcliffe and lived there until her marriage when she moved to the home Morris Henderson had prepared for them about four mile northeast of Story City, where they lived and raised their family until February of 1933, when they moved to Albert Lea, Minn.

She leaves to mourn her early departure, three sons, Oscar, Arnold and Morris jr., and four daughters, Ethel (Mrs. Earl Brekke), Maxine, Ihlene and Sarah. Also her aged father, four sisters and three brothers; three grandchildren, Gloria, Doyle and Charlene Ann Brekke, and a host of relatives and friends.

Her pastor, Rev. Emil Hanson of Albert Lea, visited and comforted her during her illness, and her former pastor, Rev. A. J. Torgerson of Northwood, visited her often and upon her request administered the Holy Sacrament during her sickness.

We have reason to believe that she passed successfully thru the Vale of Tears and has joined the White Robed Host at the right hand of her Redeemer.

Rev. Torgerson, her pastor of Bethany church, conducted the funeral services. The children from Bethany Christian Day school sang a few appropriate songs and helped to make the occasion solemn and festive. Mrs. Henderson's children are members of Emil Hanson's Christian Day school in Albert Lea.

Mrs. Henderson was a quiet, unassuming woman, who had strong opinions of her own, but was not domineering. She was a faithful wife and a good mother. Those who knew her best loved and admired her most.

The pallbearers were her old time friends, Sam Thompson, Osmund Tungesvik, Wier Erickson, Andreas Mikkelson, N. Tjernagel and Lars Skeie.
