March 5, 2023CLARION — Terry L. Wyllie, 65, of Clarion and formerly of Webster City, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East, in Clarion.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Terry Lee, son of Gail and Marilyn (Welper) Wyllie, was born on July 6, 1957 in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Terry grew up in Webster City where he also attended school. In high school, Terry was active in baseball and track. He graduated with the class of 1976.
On September 10, 1983, Terry was united in marriage to DeAnne Peterson. They had two children, Joseph and Elizabeth. Terry worked on the railroad before working at Electrolux in Webster City for 26 years. He most recently was a truck driver and drove many miles from coast to coast.
Terry ran a lot of miles over the years and enjoyed bike rides to Briggs Woods. He loved watching sports, especially the Yankees, Steelers, and the Hawkeyes. He was wildly passionate about his teams!
While traveling around the United States, Terry would visit any Major League Baseball stadium he was close to, with hopes to attend a ball game.
Terry had a beautiful singing voice and he enjoyed a wide variety of music. He could often be seen dancing anywhere and everywhere.
His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved them very much!
Terry is survived by his children Joseph Wyllie (Holly) of West Des Moines and Elizabeth (Bob) Murphy of Clarion; grandchildren Lauren and Michael Murphy and Audra and Noah Birkey; brother Tom (Amy) Wyllie of Mesa, Arizona; and many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Deb and Nancy; and his beloved dog Sadie.
