Kenneth W. Iverson, 86, formerly of Jewell, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Becker Funeral Home in Jewell was in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth W. Iverson, son of Iver and Rebecca Knudson Iverson, was born on Oct. 15, 1912. A lifelong resident of Jewell, he graduated from Jewell High School in 1932. On January 18, 1941 he married Irene Westwick in Jewell. He worked with his father and brother at the Iverson Hatchery. He sold baby chicks, feed, poultry supplies and Maytag washers from the late 1930's until he retired in 1982.

Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Deb Iverson of Rockford, IL., three grandsons, Kent, Kyle and Klark of Rockford, two brothers, Robert of Corona, CA., and Oliver of Morton Grove, IL.; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one brother, Richard, a sister Carol Mae Espeland, and a twin brother in infancy.
