Friday, March 12, 1976Guy W. Fisher, 74, a longtime Webster City resident, died early Friday morning at the Humboldt Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for one month.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Ronald C. Swanson officiating and with burial in Cass Center cemetery.
Guy Washington Fisher, son of Charles and Cora Ann Siders Fisher, was born March 11, 1901 in Guthrie county. When he was three years old he moved with his parents to Jackson county, Minn., where he was reared and educated. He moved to Webster City in 1925.
On Aug. 10, 1935, he was married to Jennie Bates and the couple resided in Webster City where he was employed as a welder and truck driver. He retired in 1963.
He is survived by his wife, five sons and three daughters: Guy LaVerne Daly of Welcome, Minn., Larry E. Fisher of San Mateo, Calif.; Mrs. Gene (Virginia) Hassebrock of Webster City, Robert G. Fisher, Leland R. Fisher of Jewell, John L. Fisher of Gooding, Idaho, Mrs. Bruce D. (Arlene) Hill of Webster City and Mrs. Dan (Charlotte) Carrico of Jerome, Idaho; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by one brother and one sister, Fred Fisher of Webster City and Mrs. Robert (Ella) Cordes of La Puente, Calif.
He was preceded in death by three sons, his parents and two brothers.
Mr. Fisher was a member of the First Baptist church.
