Chauncey Miles, an old settler at Morrison, died of heart failure at his home. An effort was made to locate his four daughters, but this was unsuccessful. He lost his speech a few hours before his death and the belief is that he had considerable money secreted somewhere and that he made an effort to lead into the secret those about him. He is said to have had several thousand dollars in one of the Reinbeck banks and removed it some time ago to avoid paying taxes.
