Anthony Schmoranc Dies After a Year's Illness
Anthony Schmoranc died at his home in Morrison last Friday following an illness of more than a year. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon and later at the Presbyterian church. Rev. R. L. Whitmore had charge of the services. Burial was in the Morrison cemetery.
Native of Austria
Mr. Schmoranc was a native of Austria. He was born in Bieley, Austria, and at the time of his death he was 70 years and 20 days old. On Nov. 19, 1888, he was married to Marie Schrafel. Four years later Mr. Schmoranc and his family came to this county. They located on a farm in Washington township where they lived until nine years ago when they moved to the town of Morrison.Surviving are the wife, two sons and three daughters. The sons are William of Morrison and Henry of Marshalltown. The daughters are Margaret from Morrison, Mrs. Max Hornburg of Marshalltown, and Mrs. Ben Flanders, Conrad.

Jung, Osage; Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Schrafel, Austin, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Julius Manuel, Buckingham; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schrafel, Conrad; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Katzer and daughter, Ida, Conrad; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clar, and daughter Helen of Conrad; Elmer Lorenzen, Reinbeck; Mr. and Mrs. Harm Muhring, Mr. and Mrs. Art Siemsen, Henry Klinefelter, all of Grundy Center.
